I'm working on a oliver 77 that needs a clutch. I've got the pto pulled out, and the bellhousing unbolted, but it looks like i'll have to pull the engine because the belhousing won't come back any further than the teeth on the flywheel. I have the measurments i need to set up the clutch lever adjustments, but i need the torque for the capscrews on the pressure plate, and any other torques or measurements i'm going to need to put it all back together. Thanks alot

Your 77 must have the housing for the belt pulley. If it does, it has to be removed first, otherwise there should be no problem in the putting the clutch in while the engine is in the frame. We used to do it in farmers sheds all the time. Bolts for the pressure plate are 5/16 inch and have a shoulder on them and a tooth type lock washer. I did not check, but 18-20 foot pounds is a good standard torque for that size bolt.

Ok, i though that was a hydraulic pump or something. I'll have to see where the best place to take that off is. thanks.
