Info on early oliver trractors

I have an oliver 60RC 1942 would anybody no why it was originaly painted Hartparr green with persian orange hubs wheels and stripe, suposidly 5 years afterthepromo parade& farmer colour vote. this tractor has mechanical super stear but has the flat seat & backrest. How many were painted this way & why / was super stear common in RC,s thankyou JD

I believe that many of the early 60 & 70 tractors were painted the darker hart parr green, but have not seen one with the orange wheels & stripe--is it possible that it was originally red and has faded? I have seen many that have faded that far. The flat seat and backrest are correct for a 60, and I am not sure what you mean by supersteer. Do you mean turning brakes? Those could have been original for a 4 speed tractor that was originally on steel wheels. The 5th gear could have been originall blocked out, or added later.
