i have an oliver 1954 super 77 diesel good shape still runs-would like to know what the value of this tractor is--can anyone help??

I have a similar question. I have a Oliver 80 Row Crop tractor with a 4 cylinder Wachasha (sp?)
engine, and could restore it.. needs tires & clean-up. Is this tractor worth the time and money it would take to complete? Is it rare, I haven't seen mention of this model anywhere?? Arn

Since no one else has jumped in I will give it a shot. The 80 RC was produced from 1939-46. It weighs over 5,000 lbs. The worth has to do with the condition of the tractor, popularity of tractor in your area and how much you want the tractor. The way you described the tractor it would be considered fair condition if the motor is not stuck. Most value guides will give the value at $750-$950.

Frank- If this is a decent tractor, ask $2,000. It seems as late here that people are getting pretty greedy on pricing on antique tractors, and if you keep it under their price, you will sell yours alot faster.

There was nothing greedy about what i said at all. I only told Frank the truth. If its a good row crop, than im sure some farmer might want it in that price range for baling hay or pulling wagons. If its a narrow front, maybe some puller would want it to do a little playing. If it is however, a super 77 deisel standard, collectors would be tripping over themselves to get a crack at it for 2000.00. And than the chances are real good that the farmer or puller would end up doubling his money on it to the collector days or weeks later anyways. Thats not greed, thats sound advice for Frank.

Is it a standard or row crop? If its a standard, you can pretty much ask whatever you like, cause they are one of the rarest olivers out there. I know of one that sold in original condition for almost 7000.00

It is difficult to pin down what a tractor is worth. There are several varibles such as condition of tractor, location and popularity of model. I use several different price manuals and each has variations. The manual that I feel reflects the most accurate value indicates the following:
fair condition-$1260
good condition-$2190
premium condition-$2800+
