I have a 63 770 that has dual hydraulics but only had hoses hooked up on the right when I bought it. I use the hydraulics all the time and they work great. I pulled the caps off the left side and hooked up hoses and the left side cant build up enough pressure to dump a wagon. The right side still does. I finally got the left side to raise an empty wagon but it just bleed backdown on its own as fast as it went up. Is there a relief valve I need to adjust or rebuild? What do I need to check? I have a 1650 Ollie with a 1610 loader on it and one of its problems is a slow loader--I looked and although I am only 99.9% sure, it's because the outlets on the tractor are Oliver outlets and the loaders outlets are actual Pioneer--which, yes I know are supposed to be the same, but I have seen lots of times where if you don't have ball to ball or pin to pin it WILL ocassionally lock up or just be slow constantly. Something to check anyway.

Since the ram goes back down after you extended it, I would say the seals are most likely leaking internally. Take the cylinder off, remove the head, and find some seals that fit the piston. I did one last year, but couldn't find the correct seals. I asked the parts guy for his misc o-ring and seal collection from leftovers and unknown, and was lucky enough to find a set which fit and worked fine. I think I used o-rings sandwiched between two flat seals which worked like piston rings. You will figure it out when you see what it has in it. Good luck.

Its not the cylinder on the wagon, its in the tractor hydraulics. It works perfect on the right side hydraulics but the problem is when I plug into the left side hydraulics.

Left side and right side both use the same relief valve. However there are thermal reliefs if I remember correctly. in 16 years at an Oliver dealership I only ever seen one that failed. Why not just stick a pressure gauge in one of the left side hoses and work the handle and see what pressure you have. 1000 psi is a number to shoot for. It you are above 800 psi, start looking at hoist cylinder, couplers, etc. What is the problem with hooking the hoist to the right side to see if it does work. Then you know if it is in the unit or the hoist.

I think that there is a restrictor in the lines where you hooked in. My parts manual is showing several. You might try contacting Ollie Schaefer. His E-mail is [email protected]
