Any G1355 owners out there who can share photos and info? I know of a G1355 that has been parked for several years. thinking of picking it up for a future project. are they as rare as they seem?

I used to own a oliver G1355 .About 1984 i traded it for a 2-155 which i still have , I also have a orignal piece of litature[spelling] on the oliver G1355 .If I can locate it I would be willing to have a copy made as I did this for Larry Gay after he wrote the oliver book and did not know they made a green G 1355 TP

Here is my G-1355 that I got a few months ago. It is the Moine verison with the yellow color and not the green. I picked mine up in Lousiana and it is in pretty good shape.

I dont really think they are all that rare, they were made for three years and there seems to be a lot of them out there for sale. I guess what makes them different is that they came in three different colors and many different configurations. They were also known as the Oliver G-1355 in green, the Moline G-1355 in yellow and the White 2270 in red. There were also a diesel 585ci moline and a LP version with the Moline 504ci engine.

I have seen them sell from $1500 for ones that have sat to up to $12,000 for nicely restored ones. I think the condition of the 585 diesel has a lot to do with the price. I have seen some several of them sell for $2,000 to $4,000 that were decent tractors.

Big tractor, lot of steel and rubber.

I know someone who picked up a G1355 Oliver and also has a G955 Oliver or something like that. I'm kinda confused though, because the referances I see to them say that the Olivers should be 2165's(I think. I don't have my books handy to look at.) and the Minnies G1355's. I don't recall on the Cockshutts, though.

It is kind of confusing from about 1969 to 1975 on the models and comparisons between Olivers, Cockshutts and Molines. A lot of the tractors in that 6 years were all made the same and just painted and decaled different. From the reasearch that I have done the G-1355 was both an Oliver and a Moline (I know this because the neighbor has an Oliver Green G-1355 and I have a Moline Yellow one) and the red ones were White and Cockshutt 2270 tractors. The 1865 and the 65 series Oliver tractors were Moline tractors painted green like the G-950 and the G-955 tractors. I have never even seen a picture of a 65 series Oliver like the 1865 or a 2165 if it exists.

Aha! I went back to my book(C.H. Wendels "Oliver Hart-Parr") and figured it out. You were right about the G1355 and G955 coming as both Oliver and Minnie Mo. These were the tractors built with Oliver drivetrain and Minnie engine. Basically Minnie from dash forward and Oliver back. I was confused by the G950, G1050, and G1350. All Minnie Mo', made in Minneapolis, just painted green and called Oliver 1865, 2055, and 2155 respectively. In the book there is a photo of the 2155 plowing and the 2055 parked in a lot. There is a picture of the 1865 that looks like it was cut from an ad. 1865 does not show a hp. 2055 is listed at 110hp. 2155 was tested at Nebraska (test 1069) at 135. I love this book although it is not anywhere near as complete as I would like. But then, it would be an extravagently expensive book instead just expensive. I have warned some people that that book is worth more than their lives.

I have a pictur of a 1865 it was in the MM Magazine my unckel gets a few years ago I will try to post it but have never had sucses but can email it if you want to see it let me know it will take time for you to get it when you chek your mail Thomas
