Can the Cummins 378 be configured for any of the Oliver tractors?

There were some 378 and 555 v's in Versitale 145's. I had one and it was a good unit. the engine are old and parts may start being a problem but their no a bad engine. They do have their limits. As far as for your application you need to check to see is it has a standard housing configuration.

I am not familier with the 378. What is it used in ??? I have normally seen the 5.9L 359ci engine used or the 8.3L engine, both for industrial applications and not the truck engines. Truck engines tend not to work the best for repowers for several reasons, but they can be adapted if you change enough things.

It is used in a Power Unit. The model is V378 F-2, 1980 model.

Its a V6 engine rated at 145 maximum hp.I know some fellows who put one on a sawmill,it lasted 2 days before it blew.This engine and the 555 v8 have about the worst reputation of all the cummins
