Am trying to buy a 770. Poor tires, needs paint, needs overhauled and may have spun a bearing. Owner says oil pressure got real low but was still running when he shut it down. No 3pt, no torque, narrow front. We are pretty far apart in worth, so any ideas? TIA!

Have a real nice late 770 for sale. Sharp,new rubber all around alot new parts also. Just don't need anymore. $3000.00 Rick

Take these guys advise and keep looking. Add the costs of tires, paint, and engine work and you will find one in better shape for less. You still don't know the condition of the rest of the tractor (trans, final drive, etc.), and it has no options!

i would off him over 3 grand,them 770s are very rare,and hard to come by.id pay up to 4 thousand for this gem!

if you don't mind restoring this unit, buy it. if it were me, my starting offer would be well under $1000. if the owner doesn't like it, walk.

there are plenty of 770s and 880s for sale this time of year in better condition and better value than this one.

I bought a '66 770 with new rears, 50-60%fronts, no 3 point and simple trans for $2600.00 at Watertown, Wisc. It may need a clutch in the near future, but it runs like a top. I agree with all others, $800-900 top offer, you can do much better.

He wanted 1300.00, I offered 500.00 and he turned me down flat. Yesterday he called me back to tell me (with glee) that someone had bought it for 550.00. Probably best that I didn't get it! Unfortunately, he has a lot of other old iron that I'd like to get my hands on (550 Cockshutt), so I'll keep hoping.
