Did Oliver ever build a tractor similar in size to a farmall cub or massey-harris pony

Olivers begin building the Super 44 in 1957 and continued until 1958. In 1960 Oliver built the 440 which was an up graded version of the 44. Both tractors were one row offset similiar to the International 140. They have a four cylinder Continental engine, four speed, 3 pt. hitch. The PTO hp was rated at 28 which made it have four more hp than the 140. Weight 2386 compared with 2750 for the 140. There were very few of the 44 & 440s produced.

I think the Oliver 440 was about the size of a IH 140.

They must have. I saw a picture of A Cockshutt
that looked identical to my 1942 Oliver HG crawler except that instead of tracks it had the two big tractor tires in back one up front and a steering wheel. Otherwise the herculese engine, frame and transaxel looked identical. But no matter how hard I look I can't find that picture again to refer you to it. Can anyone help me out?

The tractor you saw wasn't a Cockshutt if it was mechanically identical to a Cletrac crawler, other than the substitution of wheels; it was a Cletrac General GG, or just a General(sold by Massey-Harris, without the addition of their name), or possibly an Avery A.

The Cockshutt 20 used much the same rear end, but that's where all component similarities ended.
