I am new to the old tractor/ backhoe game. My husband, who is not a mechanic, decided he could not live without this backhoe. I cannot seem to find any specific information on the 880 with a backhoe attachment, nor an 880 with 4 rear tires. Would someone kindly tell me what we have so my parts search might be a little easier and so my husband can live another day. The photos are posted in "Tractor Photos" under the same subject title.

About 60 /65% of the 880 Industrial tractor is the same as a Agricultural tractor. The engine is the same with the exception of the flywheel. As the tractor has a backhoe, it more than likely has a Reverse-O-Torc unit. The transmission/differential is basically the same, with different speeds. The tractor has smaller wheels and tires, thus to get usable speeds, the transmission/differential is higher speed. Rear wheels are split ring rims like a heavy duty truck instead of the drop center used on Ag tractors. DThey are mounted up on heavy cast hubs for weight. The front frame is heavier, and the front axle is a heavy duty fixed tread with the Wheatland/Industdrial hubs and wheels. The 770/880 parts book illustrates the parts for the tractor. You can purchase a parts book and operators manual from the Floyd County Museum in Charles City, Iowa. Email: [email protected] The backhoe was a purchased item and installed either at the Oliver factory or at the suppliers factory depending on where the selling dealer was located. Give us the numbers off of the data plate located on the lower left of the dash support, and we can tell you more.
