For years I've been sitting on seats that seem like wood benchs on my 1850's. Now that I'm older I'd like to find more comfortable ones. Yards seem to be all out of them as they get picked up, it seems. Any thoughts or help as to where I could get some would be much appreciated. Thanks Chuck

Replaced seat cushion on my 1850, seem like around $60.Have original seat. I think some outfit in Minn.does it. Boought at my White dealer! Can get the ph.# if you like.Also saw same co. at farm shows in winter at Vermilion,SD jps

I purchased what I think they called a Deluxe Comfort Tractor seat from Quality Tractor Supply ( I believe it used to be C&T Tractor) that bolted right up to deluxe suspension on my 1850 tractor . The seat has a metal frame , high back and moveable arm rests and is really comfortable . The price was a little over $200 which is high but when you consider the seat is one part of the tractor you use every time you start it up and the seat can make the difference between whether you sit for 4 hours or 8 hours and how much of that you spend in pain , I thought the price was worth it . I have since put a similar seat on my 1855 .

You might try Speer Cushion Company, they advertise in the antique magazines. Don't have any experience with them, but they may be less expensive than going to Agco. 800-525-8156 or www.speercushion.com

I had an upholstery shop rebuild the seat pads on my 1650 using high density polyurethane foam. It looks OEM but is far more comfortable to my old and large bottom. I have the pan type seat for which replacement cushions are not available. If you have the chair type seat, any AGCO dealer can sell you OEM looking replacements pads.

If that doesn�t float your boat, Northern Hydraulics sells dozens of different type of ag seats but you may have to devise some type of special mount to fit it to your tractor.

We mounted a universal seat on an 1800 by using channel iron and drilling four holes. It now sits on a friends 1655 really looks nice and rides a bunch better.
