Where are the valves located to switch between each fender fuel tank and the main fuel tank on the 2255 or are they in line and work together?
Thanks for the help.
Greg

The two fender tanks are tee'd together, and that line connects to the top front of the main tank, where the return from the injection pump connects (another tee) You need a special sealed cap on the main tank and be sure to keep vented caps on the fender tanks. That is the way it was on the 1950's and others w/ fender tanks. Hope this helps, Harry

These are the small 15 gallon tanks on the cab fenders.

To the best of my knowledge there are (never were) selector valves in any of those systems. With the sealed cap on the main tank the fuel was transfered by vaccum from the side tanks to the main tank, and the side tanks would empty first. I saw several main tanks collapsed because the operator pinched or blocked the line between the aux. tanks and the main and left the sealed cap on the main tank, the transfer pump has enough suction to colapse the main tank. Hope this helps.

So the transfer pump is not between the main and cab fender tanks and there are no valves between the main tank and the fender tanks? Thanks, Greg

There are no switching valves. The easiest thing to do is fill the main tank and put on the unvented cap, then fill each of the 15 gal fender tanks and put on the vented caps. The fuel will draw from the fender tanks first, so the fuel gauage will show "full" for a very long time, then when both fender tanks are empty, you draw from the main tank. Nothing to switch, nothing to turn on or off. There is no pump in between.

I think there was a transfer pump on the 2-150/2-155, but the secondary tank was under the step on that tractor.

The vent on the fender tanks,15 gal. size bolted to the cab are vented with tube running up the side of the cab. I think this is so they don,t leak fuel when parking on an incline. Vented caps will work but they may leak a little fuel! jps
