I just bought an Oliver 88, row crop, wide front,1952 model year. Can someone kindly tell me the weight of the tractor for hauling purposes, and how much crankcase oil it takes- it needs the oil changed.

Mine is a row crop and it weighs in at 5210. I just changed the oil on mine and it took 6 quarts to fill it once the oil filter was filled.

When I had my 88 weighed it had no pto or belt pulley, it had light weight front hubs, cast iron rear wheel centers, no fluid in tires, no hydraulics or mechanical lift. Basically stripped it weighed 4290 lbs.

Belt pulley and drive mechanism along with pto setup will add about 300 pounds. Hydraulics will add about 100 lbs. Cast fron centers will add about 350 lbs.

You can bet ALL the fluids/filters need to be changed. An operator manual should give you all the info you need. I see them on ebay from tome to time

Well, the only weight I have listed for a row crop in the manual is a shipping weight of 4597. If it is a diesel add 215 pounds. That looks like just the tractor. Any options would be more. A 3 point adds aobuut 375, pto 105, and power lift 83.

Maybe someone can confirm these weights.
