Has anyone heard of a Oliver model 1865? I guess it's 1/2 Oliver and 1/2 MM. I was told it was made to be shipped over seas, but the contract fell through and were sold in the states. Anyway, I have a customer with one that needs a hyd pump. The pump is a piston pump made by Vickers. It mounts to the side of the eng.The dealers just tell me there is no such tractor

An Oliver 1865 is a Minneapolis Moline G950 painted in the Oliver colors with decals. The tractor was totally built at MM's Lake Street Plant in Minneapolis, Minnesota. All MM design, 425 Cu. in. LP or 451 Cu. In Diesel in front of a three speed Ampli-Torque into a spur gear five speed transmission. The pump you were asking about is a vickers, almost the same as the Oliver except the end plate is different for the fittings. It is a closed center system, does not have a cooler, the reservoir is in front of the radiator and is almost impossible to clean if you have had a pump failure. The filter is in the reservoir. I will email you a scan of the literature.

I currently own and use two 1865 Olivers. One is a two speed and the other is a three speed. If you have any questions about these unique tractors e-mail me or phone me at 417 235-3283. Thanks.
