Are the 570 Cockshutts good? Any known problems that these models had? Any idea on how heavy these machines are. Are they fuel effeicent? Thanks

I really like mine. The only problem that I know of is that the power steering isn't the best design and tends to leak down on the radiator and plug it up. Other than that they are pretty bulletproof. As far as fuel usage goes, I am not the one to say because the happy screw is cranked a little on mine. However, I seems to do ok even with that.

I owned and used an original condition gas 570 for about 13 years. It performed very well. I think a 570 is rated around 58hp at the pto. Handled a 7 foot bush hog through anything. Don't have any real comparison for how it did on gas (similar to my 460 gas). I traded it for a larger tractor, but not because I didn't like it.
