Identify serial number from a Coop E-3

My friend has a Coop that looks like an E3, 1945 or later. It has 36 or 38 inch rims. She gave me a number from the serial number tag. The number, 4B153 300418, does not match with the Cockshutt serial number lists for models E3 or 30. Is it an engine number? Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Mike

Be advised that Cockshutt dropped the yr# on tractors built,I think sometime late in 1949,so if the tractor is a 1950 or later the first 2#s will be the model# and you can id at www.cockshutt.com.Kenny

first 2# will be the year of manufacture, then the model #, last digits will be ser.#. example 4830101 would be 1948, E3, 101

Unimog is correct. Would like to add that there is no "tag". The Cockshutt serial number is stamped into the top of the front left frame rail adjacent to the engine. Sometimes they are hard to find due to paint or oil/grease build up over the years. Might have to clean the top of the frame rail off before the numbers appear. Goto www.cockshutt.com to identify the year the tractor was made.

That the Buda engine info. Go to the left side at
the front top flat of the tube frame, the number
is there at the end of the nosecone sheet metal.
