did oliver ever use an oem 4WD or FWA on the 1655? aftermarket? anyone have any photos? thanks!

they most certainly did make the 1655 with FWA. we have one. unfortunately, i have no photos to post right now but i'm working on it. as someone else said, the front axle was manufactured by clark.

Both 1650 and 1655 were available with the fwa option. It used the same Clark axle as the larger machines. I think the HPOCA site used to have a picture of a 1655 W/pfa.

IanC is right. I don't know if the 1600 was produced as a 4WD or not. The Oliver Gang has pictures of a 1655 4WD in their plow day pictures. I bought one last winter and am looking forward to using it this spring.

The 1600 was available with the MFWD. I've seen one and have seen a add for another at a North Dakota auction about a year ago. I have a 2255 mfwd and love it good luck with your 1655. I've heard the mfwd was available as a feild instilation kit but you would have to have the right bevel pinion shaft. All the olivers I've owned have had the 4 wd shaft but some do not.
