Just doing the spring service on a newly acquired 1800std Diesel (no rockshaft), just wondering what all fluids there are in the rear end. One plug spills out milky gear lube (water, I know), and then there's another further back with a lighter oil, but doesn't smell like the hydraulic. Curious as to how to drain hydraulic (want the same as other tractors), but not end up replacing oil I don't need to. Also, is there a hydraulic filter? I can't seem to find one. Thanks

Buy the manuals for your tractor. See "tractor manuals" at the top left of this page. The locations of all the filters, the proper procedure how to drain the hydraulic system, proper fluids to use, are all covered there.

If the transmission/final drive gear oil is milky, park it until you get the oil drained, the pump pickup cleaned, and a new filter installed. Then check the boot over the gear shifter. If it's cracked that's how water is getting in.
