I have a Cockshutt with a 153 Buda and I need to
replace the rear engine oil seal. There are two
types of seals available. One uses the aluminum
ring, 5 or 6 screws, rubber ring and the seal.
The second type replaces the ring, screws and the
rubber ring with a large one piece seal. Which is
the best at sealing? If the large seal is used,
what do you fill the screw holes with? I plan to
use the old type unless someone tells me why the
larger type is superior. Thanks to anyone who can
help me out.

The gasket set I posted to you from Napa comes with bolt in seal. That is the one you must use other will not work. There should also be a crank wear ring for the seal which I highly recomend you use. 2 out of 3 times new seal will leak in short time if you don't. If you need othe information feel free to contact me at my email adress. Irv
