Did Oliver make garden tractors and equipment? If so is it rare to find?

I know this isn't really what you're asking but just kinda of interesting, I know of a guy here in Ontario that repainted an older style Massey Ferguson riding lawnmower, 'bout a 8 hp with 38" deck, Oliver green and and painted the grill yellow and so forth...had Oliver decals made up for it also...looks pretty sharp too!!

Simplicity made lots of tractor brands and sometimes Jacobsen also. Jacobsen made the MM series of tractors for them. Check with the other forum here, the Garden Tractor forum in the list on main page. Put your question on there and I bet you'll here a reply. I'm not sure of the brand if there was, but seein's how MM and Oliver were same company for awhile, I bet they did have some at same time.

Are they hard to find? Do you know where I could find one?

The Jacobsen manufacturing Company in Racine, WI manufactured garden tractors for Oliver in the early 70's (A few were painted red and sold in Canada). There was four primary models ranging from 8 to 14 Hp. The model 75 was B&S powered & gear drive, Others were Kohler powered, model 105 at 10 hp., gear drive only, 125, 12 hp.,available in either gear or hydrostatic drive, & 145, 14 hp., hydrostatic drive only. All tractors were built in 1972, very limited numbers, probably less than 300. I noticed in the last issue of the HPOCA magazine that there is a 125 on a auction coming up although I don't remember where. Also note that Jacobsen made a light blue and white series of garden tractors in 1970 & 71 that was made available to the Oliver and MM dealers. check the link below.
