77 TO 1850

I have a 77 gas that runs really good.The hydraulics and pto are not in working condition. i know where an 1850 oliver is sitting with two holes through the block. that has 3point,hydraulics,power steering,etc.I was wondering if the engine in my 77 would fit in the 1850 withought to much hassle.This may sound dumb but i might be able to have a fairly functional tractor for a low price... any comments would be appreciated.

I should have a perkins 6 354 block if you are interrested just let me know .

To answer your question, it will fit but that would be a weak 1850 but it definitely would be a better utility tractor than the 77 is, 3pt and hydraulics are a bunch better.

Take a look at getting a Cummins 5.9 Makes a great repower for the bigger Olivers.

You would be a lot more satisfied if you found a block to put in the 1850, but only if it is a Perkins A6-354.
