How would you guys set up an 88 Oliver??

I am pretty new to the Olivers, because I had just came by a beefed up 88 about 5 months ago. Found out is has enough horse to pull up through the classes, but I don't know what I all need on it. I am still trying to figure out how to put a bracket on the front so I can put about three 90 lb. suitcase weights on it. The 88's that pull in my area are always in the air with no suits on the front. Any help on how to make a bracket or even connect one, and how to put wheelie bars on is greatly appreciated. My first pull is May 18 and I need to get my stuff around. Thanks!!

Most guys build a bracket that bolts up under the front of the tractor sing the same bolts that hold the front end to the frame. I built my bracket to mount on steel bars that run through the cultivator mounting hole in the frame. This allows me to put weights at the very front or even on the sides.

You can attach wheely bars to the axle housing very easily. Make them from square tubing and bolt them on using long bolts.

I was thinking on making clamp type wheelie bars simular to my WC's wheelie bars. Thanks for the info guys, because I planned on making brackets and bars this weekend.

Our 88s and 77 have side mount weight brackets THe two are Supers the one 77 and 88 we used the bolt holes on the side. The other 88 we used pipe through the cultivator holes and welded flat steel to the one side and made the other side to bolt fast to the pipe. We drilled a hole in the pipe so you could drop a bolt down through the top of the frame rail above the cultivator hole to keep the bracket from sliding around. I personnally don't like the front weight brackets. It is much easier to be able to slide weights around on the side weight bracket and gives you a lot more room to make small weight changes just by sliding the weight forward or back. With these brackets we have already pulled up to 13,000 Lbs on some hard pulling clay tracks.
