I know that the 70 has a high compression motor, but some were low compression for distilate fuels. How would I be able to tell the difference in looking at 70's to buy?

If it is an original kerosend/distillate tractor, it will have the letters KD after the serial number on the tag. If original manifold is there, it will have a longer preheat chamber (the vertical portion between the carburetor and the engine) and an auxillary starting tank for gasoline in addition to the larger regular fuel tank. Hope this helps, Terry.
