There are oliver/cockshutt 550 manuals--Saw a cockshutt 550 tractor manual Are the two manuals the same if not explain the different Asked seller has never replyed I have a oliver 550 dls in good shape for it age All I know about it is get it started and drive it NO manuals or information about tractor for a small tractor it will pull the hornes off a goat

The early model 550 Cockshutts made from 1959 until 1962 were different from the oliver 550,but after buyout oliver made 550 painted red and white
and sold them as cockshutts and as far as I know
they were the same as oliver 550s.They were small
utilty tractors.

The two previous posts are both correct- There are two Cockshutt 550's- one made by Cockshutt, and the Cockshutt-badged Oliver 550, which is identical to the Oliver 550 except for paint color. Causes considerable confusion (until you see the tractor, because they look completely different). A Cockshutt collector in Oregon told me about purchasing a Cockshutt 550 from an ad in the northwest farm newspaper (Capital Press) out of British Columbia. He bought sight unseen, and the dealer delivered. He expected a "Cockshutt Cockshutt", but when it came, it was an "Oliver Cockshutt"- but he was still happy, because the Oliver version is worth more, so he got a bargain.

Cockshutt 550 was a completely different tractor than the Oliver. It was one built by Cockshutt, unlike the 1650, 1750 etc that they bought from Oliver. This is similar to Cockshutt 60, bought from oliver, whereas the Cockshutt 30, built near the same time was their own build. This site should clarify it.
