There's one in the local paper for $500 and I
wondered if it would fit my 1600. Haven't called
yet to see what make it is, I wanted to check with the group first to make sure it will fit.

Thanks,
Andrew

The 1510 loader was made for the 550 utility tractor, and others of the same size. It was basically the same as the 1610, but with shorter side rails to accomodate the utility style tractor. You could get an extension kit for the 1510, extending the side arms, and making it fit the row crop tractors like the 1600. They would not fit as a direct swap, but were able to be changed. Hope this helps, Terry.

I had an S 55 with a 1610 loader on it. Worked great. I'd be happy to send a picture to anyone that asks.

S55 / 550 is the size of a Ford 9n / MF35. No way will the loader work on a 1600. You need one from an 880/16XX or maybe a 17XX.

I have done a little research and from what Ive been told it will not. The 550 and Super 55 loaders were either model 58 or 59. These are too small for the tricycle tractors. This is what Ive been told, anyone feel free to prove me wrong.

You ain't wrong by a long shot. The usual style(around here, anyway) Super 55/550 pipe loader is much too small for a 1600. I doubt the bucket could be made to touch the ground without tipping the entire loader downwards, which would make it useless anyhow. A 1600 will put up a whole lot more tractive force than a 55/550, and would easily wreck a loader designed for that small a tractor.

1610's the loader to look for.
