FUEL TANK LEAK ON 1955

I have been fighting a diesel fuel leak on the main tank of my 1955 . I have used JB WELD on it and almost stopped it, but it has come back. Any ideas would be appreciated. (Do I need to replace the tank or is there a way I can fix it?)

I'm guessing the leak is on the bottom of the little sump to seperate the water. JB weld sometimes works but it is hard to get a good bond because of the diesel fuel. If you want to really fix it you need to remove the tank, turn it upside down and solder the holes. I've also seen them leak where that sump is welded to the tank. Just use a small propane torch and acid core solder. Burn all the old paint and dirt off first and clean it with a wire brush. Then tin the surface and build it up with solder. Good Luck, WB.

i fixed a few with bronze with my gas tourches fill tank with water first. make sure ya got all fumes out..... .....
