When changing a Oliver 70 to 12 volt, do you need to put a resister in wire from switch to magneeter to prevent burning up coil in mag? Thanks for any help.

Magneto's don't use electricity they make it. You really don't have any business working on this tractor.

Restoring these old tractors is all about learning. Mack is doing fine asking the questions, its "mm" who needs help. He must have came out of the womb of a tractor and didnt need to learn through asking. It is "mm" who has no business repling about tractors. I hope he has a question some day and finds an answer as ignorant as he.
