This is an elementary question but I have been going buggy trying to find the right tool...The 2 oil drain plugs for the diff/tranny/pto have an allen wrench kind of fitting except it is square and about 1/2 inch. What kind of wrench do ya use to get the thing off and anyone know where I can find it? Nothing obvious at hardware stores and Sears.

I use my 1/2 inch drive ratchet for that type of plug. Just insert the 1/2 inch drive into the plug as if it were a socket. HTH Myron KY
