The discussion below about the 2255 rear end prompted me to ask. I have a friend with a 2050 Oliver that has a planetery rear end. I went to a show at Baraboo, Wisconsin and saw a 2050 with bar axles(it also had front assist). What gives, did Oliver offer them two ways, or did someone pull a fast one and swap a rear end or something? Can someone that knows these better let us know what's going on here.
Thank you

DKaiser's comments are correct for the 2050. The 2150 could be ordered as a "Extra Heavy Duty" model with the planetary drive at all four corners.

Yes that is correct BA, I have a 2150 Heavy duty that has planetary drive all the way around, and I know of another 2150 near me that is the standard model without the planetary drive on the rear wheels. Same model, same year, different option for that tractor.

The planetary setup was standard in the two wheel drive verstion of the 2050 and 2150 and the other rear end was used in the front wheel assists. Someone please correct me if i'm wrong, but the way I understand it is that it was felt that the planetary was not needed due to the fact that so much of the power is used in the front end and the heavier planetary setup was not required.
