I have a question about my PTO. Is there a certain level that the oil should be, or does it just use oil from the transmission and differential? I noticed that there is a place to add oil below the seat, but I did not see anywhere to check the level. Also, I have two levers for my hydraulics. The one on the right I have hooked up to my 3-point hitch. It has double action. The lever on the left currently isn't being used. But it seems like it only has single action. Is this normal? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! John.

If I remember correctly when standing behind the tractor there should be a plug on the right side of the pto gear box. The oil should be level with the plug hole. It should have 90W or 140W transmission oil in it.

correct

the plug is near the right-side drawbar brace

the manual for the 77 (not 770, but should be the same) calls for 'one pint of seasonal transmission oil' to be added thru the test plug hole (drainage is by removing the cover underneath)
