The Oliver built cockshutts were painted cockshutt red after about 1938. The 60 row crop was built for Cockshutt from 1940 until about 1947. I may be wrong, but I don't think Cockshutt bought any of the Oliver built tractors after 1947, when they were building their own Cockshutt 30, although Oliver built them until 1948. The only difference besides the paint color is the front badge on the grill, the name castings on the axle housings, and the serial number tag. The serial tag uses Oliver serial numbers, but says Cockshutt, and below says built by the Oliver Corporation. I have a 1947 Cockshutt 60 RC, and several other 60s. The Cockshutt 60 is the same as the Oliver 60 so
specs are easy to find. Production ran 1940-48
for the row crop and 1942-48 for the 60 standard.
Paint red with Cockshutt badges. Base price was
around $700, extras were lights, fenders, belt
pulley, power lift and larger tires.
