i have been restoring a 1950 with a gm. all the fuel lines,fuel cooler,filters,are dry.can i crack the last line after the last filter right before it goes into the motor and put a small amount of air in tank and push the fuel though the fuel pump and all the filters and lines to get air out or is there a better way please let me know. thanks john

John What do you have? A super 99 w/3-71 detroit? If that is the case you need to fill both fuel filter canisters before tring to start. You can try blowing thru the tank with air pressure but it's not a good practice as you can distort the tank and or blow it up if you arn't carefull. Priming the filters and making sure you have the correct rotation on the fuel pump ( if it was replaced ) is the most important. Make sure your batteries are charged good and you should have no problem. Take your time and don't rush it and it will start. If you have a shut down kit on it ( on the air door of the blower make sure that it's open-- without air detroits won't run. Good Luck John
