I recently went home and got my 1963 pedal Oliver tractor. It needs virtually all parts. The cast frame is pretty much intact, but need wheels, chain, rear axel, steering wheel, decals. Anyone have ideas, or search ideas, please advise. I have contacted Ertl Toy Company in Dyersville, but they say contact a local implement dealer for parts.

Many thanks, and Happy New Year 2003.

P.S., this may be the start to "a collection".

seems to me Dakotah Toys has a few, if not all the parts for your Oliver model. I take thats a 1850, or an 1800? Eska used to make the Oliver pedal tractor, but I think the 1800 checkerboard was their final offering. Other then that, Santi Toys offers parts too. I'm sorry I dont know their phone numbers off hand, but I think Santi is based out of Minnesota, and Dakotah is in North Dakota maybe South Dakota, I cannot remember. Searching Dogpile or Google on their names should land you a phone number. Also, I wouldnt bother talking to Ertl, they dont seem to care about their customers. Back in 1995 I bought the 1655 row crop they offered in that set of 4. They came with a decal sheet, and you guessed it, mine was without. After my calls went unanswered, we gave them a good talking to and a lady there was nice enough to find me a sheet, but it was for a Cockshutt! After another few months we got the correct sheet. So it all panned out. My thoughts on Ertl is they are a great producer of toys, but their customer service stinks. My thoughts anyways....Good luck though with your pedal tractor.
