Model 74 Cornpicker

I want to mount a 74 cornpicker on a 770. I believe there is a bracket that bolts to the fender mount in which the picker undercarriage bolts to. Could someone draw me a sketch of these brackets (with dimensions) so I could make a set. I would also be interested in buying a set.

I stopped at a friends place because he bought a 74 picker that came off an 880. I took a couple of pictures of the brackets for you. I was walking to the gate when all of a sudden I am picking myself off the ground. I turn around and I am looking at a very pleased ram sheep. I didn't know he was mad at me...heck I was leaving the place. I hollered at him and sent him running with a kick. He nailed me once more before I got to the gate. I am not turning my back on him again. I do not know how to put the pictures on here so I will email them to you. And I am not going back!

I know someone who has the carriage and brackets that mounted the 74 to a 1850. The picker was sold, but the dealer didn't get the carriage and bracket.

Ooops, I think I'm thinking about a No. 4 mounted picker rather than a No. 74. That's why I use Ol in front of my handle because it stands for old////

As I remember the brackets bolted to the fender supports, one on each side of the support held on with treaded bolts that went through the fender supports. The inside end of the support on each side was held by a bracket that fit around the axle[six sided]. The bracket also held the tube that supported the rear gearbox that connected to the PTO. I'm not sure this will help much if you haven't seen how they worked. The picker road on these brackets and pivoted on them when it was raised and lowered. I can't tell you much about how it was raised as ours worked from the power lift and was not hydraulic as yours probably is.

Sorry,I don't know what the brackets look like, but I do have a set of picker side shields for the engine on a 880 and I think they will fit a 770. I will take 75.00 for them plus shipping.
