Please, someone inform me on the location of the serial number plate for an Oliver 1655 tractor.

Also, what is the skinny on the engine? Is it an Oliver? What is the bore and stroke?

Thanks for any response.

E

I never had any major problems with the 283 Waukesha diesel in the 4,000 plus hard hours I put on one except the Roosa Master injector had to be rebuilt due to hard starting. In spite of this, it never did like to start in the winter months unless plugged in, even from the day it was new. The 70 horsepower is a very handy size, and it can do lots of work. The over/under hydraul shift is a nice feature. The gas model is 265 cubic inches, would be excellent in the winter time for chore use. The serial plate is below the dash in front of the main transmission gear shifter.

I think it is below the steering wheel right between your legs when you are setting in the seat. I have a 1650 and i think that is where mine is. As for as the engine it is a Waukasha
that was designed by Oliver. It has 283 cubic inches if it is a diesel.
