After putting antifreeze in my 66, I ran the engine for awhile to mix it in good. I noticed a different kind of knocking noise coming from the top of the radiator. when I loosened the radiator cap it stopped. I had noticed a tube inside the top of the radiator neck that seemed to come up from the bottom. The tube looked something like the tube in an old perculator coffee pot. My question is does this radiator perculate to circulate the water. This is a nonpressure system. Thanks, Rick

It has a water pump, the tubes are the same as any radiator, could be a plugged radiator or stuck thermostat.
