I'm fairly new too, so I looked them up in my Oliver books. The over-under allows you to shift each of the 6 gears either into underdrive or overdrive giving you 18 gears. As far as I can tell from the section on the Hydra Drive it only lets you downshift each gear giving you 12 gears. I'm sure someone will give a lot more info.
