1850-1950 trans and rearend . Are they different?

What are the differences of the 1850 and 1950? Do they use the same shafts and gears? Or are they incompatible? I know the 1950-T is different from the 1950. Can anyone help here?

Just looking at the I&T manual, the transmissions appear to be the same. 1950 serial number 189007-000 and up and all 1950T have differences in the differential from the 1850. Most of these differences are due to the 3 disc brake assemblies. The late model 1950 and the 1950T may have beefed up bull gears, bearings, etc as well. This manual doesn't go that deep. It does look like the transmission and differential are about the same on a 1850 and an early 1950 (before serial number 189007-000).

Not sure on the 1850 to 1950 rear ends, but I have seen the 1950T and I own a 1950. I didn't think there was any difference. I know my 1855 and 1955 look similar, but the 1955 has a cat 3 hitch.
