Have an opportunity (?) to buy an 880 Diesel

All I know at this point is that the head is severely cracked, to the point of being unrepairable

Are there any heads floating around out there, either uncracked or repairable?

Oh, and looking at the shift pattern plate.....the pattern is a mirror image of the 77 and 880 I grew up on..... .sixth is at top left instead of top right, first is at bottom left instead of bottom right..... ..can anyone tell me why ?

Thanks to any and all for information!

G

I have a head checks good but will have to be reworked. Also have a block assembly with a balanced crank and a good cam.

I was just reading the latest issue of the HPOCA Newsletter and Ric Stair has a big ad, with a listing of having over 40 heads, maybe he has an 880 diesel. He has an email address listed at [email protected]
