Saw a 770 with new rubber and mower in the paper for $3500. If I bought it and kept the mower, could I sell the tractor for $3500 or are Olivers hard to sell?

No offense Oliver fans, I just don't know anything about them, and don't need a tractor. But I would like to have this mower. My price guide puts the 770 in good condition in the $3500 price range.

I live in Kansas.

Thanks

$3500 sounds pretty high, depending on year of production and options. I sold my 770 in SE MI for $2100 roughly six years ago (wide front, add-on three point, dual outlets, 15.5*38 rears- 50%, new carb, front 7.50*16s, 8000 hours but ran well, power booster). I hope this gives you an idea of price range. Good luck.

I would say $3500.00 is a little high. I paid $3400.00 for my "770'. But , my "770" looked and ran like new. Has factory power stearing , power booster drive , wide front , and delux seat. Tires were 50%. It also included oil and filter change , and 5 gallons of gas , seeing I was driving it home.

We found a 1958 770 diesel for $400 Canadian with only 2000 hours on it. It had sat a number of years but all we had to do was clean out the fuel system and it runs fine, although the paint and tires are poor and the steering box needs repair. By the way Dave do you know where I can get parts for the injector pump (in Alberta). I need some governor parts (shaft and spring).

It would depend on how the 770 was set up , option wise, 3pt hitch, wide front, gas, or diesel, power booster, factory power steering, how it runs, and looks. I do not know what they are worth in Kansas, but here in Indiana a plain jane run of the mill 770 is worth about $1750.00, unless it has all of the options, and runs and looks good , I would say no, $3500.00 would be to much.
