Was the Hydra-Lectric" system 12 or 6volt? My 77 RC is 12 volt.

It was 6V on the Fleetline tractors like your 77 with the column switches. Diesel tractors were 12V but had 2 6 volt batteries and the Hydra-lectric lead came from 1 6 volt battery only.

Each column switch has 6 sets of points and the relay under the battery tray has at least 2 sets. Will 12 volts burn the points quicker or damage the wiring - dunno, might make it work better for awhile! Maybe someone else has experience with 12V.
