I've not taken that step yet in the 310. Perhaps someday. Have done it in Fleetlines and Supers (non-turbo) with good results. We are limited to stock turbos in our classes, but the 310 would benefit, I believe, from more air from a bigger turbo, coupled of course with more fuel from modified pump and injector nozzles. It's going to take that to compete against the cubic inch disadvantage the 310 has versus the highly competitive IH 1066s in my classes. My basically stock 310 holds strong at 150 hp. The above mods can pretty easily take the 310 well above 200 hp, but one would certainly be looking at getting hardened or custom rods, among other things. In the Fleetlines, we have gone through Barron's Motor Supply to have cams built up and reground, and I believe they will stroke crankshafts as well. Then they send them off to a central machine shop. Have also worked through a local racing engine builder to have mods done. I would start with one of these guys in your area as it is their forte.
