How hard are they to find? Zimmerman said forget about it and put aftermarkets on. Is he right? I think I found a pair, marked KD Lamp company, model # 853. What are they worth? I never seen these before, must not have been used on other tractors. Thanks

Yes, Zimmerman told me the same. The KD #853 is exactly what was used on the Cletac HG, and Oliver OC-3. If you are doing a "politically correct" restoration, it would do you well to have the correct lights on it. If the price is reasonable, you should get them if you are working on an HG. I have paid as much as $45.00 a piece for them, and was not happy with their condition when they came. On the other hand I have paid as little as $3.00 for them at car show flea markets. Most of the ones I have found have been at car show flea markets so they must have been used on some cars and trucks. I found a really nice one once that the guy told me came off the back of a 1932 Ford fire truck that he parted out. I have also found them as fog lights with amber lenses. They were also used on the BF Avery A, and V tractors, I know. I have many pieces, and parts that I have collected over time, but I am short in the lense department. Let me know if I can help.
