does anyone have any information on a oliver canopy ( a old original).need one for a restoration on a 1850. how much will one cost,and who has one for sale? any information will be very helpful. thank john

There are several Olivers around my neck of the woods here in Virginia with canopies, some were origional and some have been built or modified from other tractors. I found my canopy that I put on my 1655 that I am fixing up just by chance. It is an origional Oliver Canopy off of a 2255 and it doesnt fit quite right on the 1655 but I think it will work. I just kind of lucked up on this one, I dont expect I will find another one real soon. The local AgCo dealer here in Virginia has had some luck finding canopies for people around here before but I think you have to pay a bunch for them and Im not sure if they are origional or aftermarket ones. Good Luck finding one, it can be done, but it takes some time.....

I have one on a 2255 mfwd and really like it. You might try Fairbo tractor parts (507)334-3422 I think they had one on a mfwd tractor there by the road in the summer of 2000. Thats the only other one I've ever seen. Good luck.

I have the only one i have ever seen,and i'm not selling.The ones from tractors obove 70 hp will fit each other.

I've only heard of 2 in my life, and I wont tell you where the one is. I am tring hard to get it from them as it is, and I wont share that info:) But like Dsl said, good luck, a very hard piece to find!!! If you do find one, it will probably cost $1,000+

The two operative words for finding an original Oliver canopy are, "Good luck"... Exceptionally hard to find, and very expensive if you do. I gave up on finding one for my 1550 a couple of years ago.

There is a picture of my 1655 with a canopy on my website. Feel free to take a look, if it is up. I run out of bandwith pretty fast on my site so if it is down try back in an hour or so and it will be running again. I also think there is an aftermarket canopy on a 1550 in the photo gallary.
