4-71 in place of 4-53 in a 1950

Just wondering if anyone has ever put (or seen), a 4-71 detroit in place of a 4-53 in a 1950 model Oliver? I know the two engines are different animals, so I thought I'd ask to see how much of a job it would be. Nothing is impossible, its just that some things are a heck of a lot easier than others!! Thanks for any responses.

That's a pretty intriguing swap. The 4-71 is a lot bigger than the 4-53, about 160 HP in truck form. I've never seen or heard of it being done, but then somebody has to be the first. Deere used the 6-71 in their 8010/8020 series in 1960 , but then they were ahead of their time with a 4WD tractor that large and these models didnt sell too well, also the 6-71 was too much engine for the earlier 8010 trans, hence the 8020 modifications.
