I recently acquired an Oliver OC-3 42 which ran,
but with no power. I discovered that the bottom
2 sparkplug wires were disconnected from the magneto, which made me suspicious whether ANY of the plug wires were properly connected. I need to know the cylinder numbering sequence and the numbering sequence on the magneto, or at least the magneto's direction of rotation, so that I can attach the plug wires to the magneto in the proper firing order. Please help; I've posted this question before, but heard no response. Thanks in
advance.
Jim

Jim, I'll give you as much help as I can without benefit of book or tractor with me.
The firing order is 1243 and counted from the front of the engine.
The rotation of the mag is clockwise (I think) as you view from the back of the magneto. You can verify rotation by turning the engine over with the cap off. No 1 is normally marked on the cap but is also normally the one at 3 o'clock.
Hope this helps--if you need information on timing let me know.
