Oliver 356 Sickle Mower-Need Information!!

Can anyone give me the names of places that handle parts for an Oliver #356 7ft. Sickle Mower? I need to find the wooden pitman arm and the belt pulley. I also need to find an Operator's Manual and Parts Manual if they are still available. I just purchased this old machine and I hope to get it back in shape soon. Is there a place that sells decals for this machine?? Any help would be appreciated.

Try calling the Floyd County Historical Society.
641-228-1099 They may have the manuals. If you still have the old pitman arm, it could be used as a pattern to make one yourself. Myron

Go to the Napa/ UAP store. I just got a drive belt for my 356 mower yesterday. It is 41 & 3/4 inches long.& lists as 7/8 inch wide ..However when I measured the width it shows 3/4 of an inch.. It fits perfectly & leaves lots of adjustment for the future. Remove the four 3/8 bolts & separate the outer half of the top pulley, to install.. If you need the part # ,, let me know.. It is out in the garage.. Brian..

I just bought an oliver 356 that is in ffair shape. I can meadure the pittman arm and provide a schetch of it for you. The were usually made if hickoryand aRE PRETTY SIMPLE TO CONSTRUCT.You might try tractor supply chain,they have some pittman arms.Good luck
