I AM ABOUT TO PUT TOGETHER A OLIVER 88 DIESEL PULLING TRACTOR AND COULD USE SOME TIPS ON WHAT TO DO TO GET GOOD POWER OUT OF IT.I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW WHAT I WOULD HAVE TO DO TO PUT A TURBO ON THIS TRACTOR AND WHAT KIND OF TURBO WOULD WORK BEST.

Where do you want to pull it and what classes? I would personally put a 310 Wauskehsa in it and get rid of the original engine. The 310 has seven mains instead of the four or five in the original engine. You can do a lot to the 310 and with a turbo the sky and your wallet is the limit. You should be able to get an easy 250 HP with a good turbo with 30 psi of boost and more fuel. If you want details let me know. We have an 88 with the 310 running 140 HP without a turbo on straight diesel fuel.
