Someone told me that an 880 transmission will fit on my S77 tractor. Is this true?

If you unbolt the tub from the super 77 and attach it to the 880 it should be a match.

My S77 is a Diesel. Do you think it would pull better with that 880 transmission, a S77 trans., or would there not be much difference at all? I use it to pull a disk and chissel now.

Tom, if the 880 is 1960 or newer it would have the helical trans and I know it is better than the spur gear. However if all u are doing is farming I don't think it would matter much.
