I HAVE A COCKSHUT 1550 DIESEL WITH A FRONT END LOADER AND A NEW HYDRAULIC PUMP.

THE LOADER OPERATES SLOWLY UNLESS THE ENGINE IS SPEEDED UP. OTHER TRACTERS I HAVE HAD ARE MUCH FASTER AT THE LOWER RPM'S IS THERE ANY ADJUSTMENT, VALVE, OR CHANGING OF HYD HOSE SIZES THAT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

we have never had hydraulic problems, i dont know where you are coming from. You have to remember these tractors are over 30 years old, and if they had abuse in the past, problems will occur!

Hey Shane, sounds like you have some issues. If you wanna continue bickering over this, why dont you email me, because i know little kids are on here and they dont have to see you make an idiot of yourself. Now, I have never had a problem whatsoever on Oliver hydraulics if they are TAKEN care of. I have worked on these hydraulic systems before, so dont even start thinking I am some punk thats mouthing off, because I've been thru an Oliver. I'd like to see you mouth off to some of these other guys, like B A Star, WFE or better yet Larry Harsdorf, cause I know they will put you in your place just as fast. As I stated before, these tractors are over 30 years old, so if a tractor wasnt taken care of, problems will occur!!!

Whatever Shane, you didnt even listen to my request. Now, if Rob is still following his original posting, I would first get the tractor flow rated. I had replaced a pump on a 1650 Oliver this year and it kept performing under spec. I'd first see what your system relief pressure is at. I dont have my books at home here, but I think its 2250, and you want to see how many gallons per minute its got 200 or so under. So, take the tractor up to rated (200 under, so say 2000) and see what the system tests at 100 degrees. If you get over 12gpm, you are doing alright. Remember, you have to allow for hoses and connections, that always knocks off a couple gpm's. Its a start, and if you need any more assistance, write me or re-post your message. Good luck to you:)
