If I have my 77 head shaved off about .060-.070" won't it mess up the distance the valves open, or do you put in different valves? Thanks

Technically speaking, you should put spacers, of the same thickness as the amount removed from the head, underneath the rocker pedestals. This will ensure the geometry of the push rods to rockers remains correct. Practically, this becomes more important as more metal is removed from the head and depends on length of pushrods etc, so below a certain amount it is not too necessary, but.....
Also, if an oil supply goes up the pedestal.... don't forget the lube hole in the shim.
